The axe is an instrument of the mythical warriors of the Valkyries, servants of Odin.
In the epic of Ancient Scandinavia, valkyries are female warriors with wings. They accompanied the best warriors to Valhalla, the heavenly palace where their father Odin ruled. Valkyries not only carried away the fallen heroes on the field, but also sometimes decided the outcome of the battle. In myths, valkyries used armor and various tools, including axes.
A battle axe is a slashing cold weapon. Its feature was a crescent-shaped blade up to 30 cm long. The gun weighed a lot and had a long handle to cut through armor.
